A Little Something Extra

Micah pulled Matthew down!

The rules-follower in me says that I should be appalled at Micah's abuse of his brother.

Allow me to describe the scene as there are no photos. Micah and Matthew were sitting and playing in the playroom. Matthew takes a toy from Micah, puts it on the train table, and stands up to play with it. Micah grabs Matthew's shirt, pulls him down, and grunts/growls at him. After I said a half-hearted "No, Micah," I turned around, smiled, and shared Micah's assertiveness with Mark.

Way to go, Micah. Um, don't pull your brother's shirt.

It's funny how our little ones actually get away with so much, I am more thrilled than mad when my daughter does something that's actually a no-no...it's a display of their independent thinking and thats really exciting

Micah stood up for himself! Yeah, Micah! I suppose I shouldn't be cheering, but yeah!

I just blogged about this the other day. William told his teacher no and I told her I was secretly happy he told her that he did not to do something....however I really don't want him to think it is ok to tell an adult NO. Way to go Micah ( I mean you really need to be more loving with your brother)

Whoohoo, go Micah!!!! And...to Matthew....you better watch out ;) That's great, Jennie....and it seems very odd to say "that's great"! :)

I so enjoy your blog, Jennie. What beautiful boys you have!

Last night I watched "Praying with Lior", a movie you might enjoy. I thought of all of you so often through the film. It is about a young man with Down Syndrom preparing for his Bar Mitzvah. The wonderful family movies included in the documentary show the deep level of prayer life that Lior has always possessed. His dad describes him as having "less veils" between himself and God.

Love to you all, Aunt Lynn
